چکیده

This document reviews some of the existing QoS signaling protocols for an IP network. The goal here is to learn from them and to avoid common misconceptions. Further, we need to avoid the mistakes during the design and the implementation of any new protocol in this area. Manner et al Expires December, 2003 [Page 1] Internet-Draft Analysis of QoS Signaling June 2003 Changes since -01 Merged with [RSVP-TRANS], Added a very preliminary Appendix that compares RSVP to the NSIS requirements, Restructured the document for easier reading, and Minor reference updates. Changes since -00 More text on RFC2207, 2961, 3175, 3209, Added [Berg02], [KoRe02], [LiPe02], RFC2379, 2380 and extensions proposed by ITU-T, OIF, 3GPP, Re-wrote text on RSVP processing overhead, Updated text on RSVP security, Removed section on ITSUMO as it was mostly an architectural discussion, rather than a protocol review, Updates various other parts of the document based on feedback, Re-structured the document.

Advanced operations research techniques for multi-constraint QoS routing in internet

Internet Traffic has grown exponentially over last few years due to provision of multiple class services through Internet backbone. With the explosive use of Internet, contemporary Internet routers are susceptible to overloads and their services deteriorate drastically and often cause denial of services. In this paper, an analysis is made how forecasting technique, routing algorithm and Genetic...
